"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Anything sweet and solid is a cookie.  Here we are enjoying a strawberry frosted "cookie."  We have just finished Mass and have worked up quite an appetite from all the running around, struggling to get free of Mama, and testing out vocal chords.  So, clearly, sugar is the obvious choice of sedative!

The other day he said, "Read booky," which is a whole (coherent) sentence!  He's been parroting words with a lot more regularity and clarity but still not deigning to communicate with the art of speech.  When we ask him to say something, he gives us such a look of superior amusement!  He understands plenty.  We'll be starting speech therapy once weekly, though, just to make sure things are healthy and normal.

These past few weeks have felt like a spring to the finish line, and they're not over yet.

    1. Yes, spunky in a subdued way . . . if that makes sense. c; Like, he's not the dominant-personality type, I don't think.
