Liturgical Living: Twelfth Night Cake

Jan. 6, Feast of St. Andre Bessett and Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord (old calendar).

Made from this recipe.  Except with almost all of the ingredients changed or left out.  Because running to the grocery store is never an option.  And I'm American!  In America, no self-respecting "cake" has fruit in it, anyway!

It was really, really, really good, especially soaked in red wine cocktail.  Happy Epiphany!

  1. Our Epiphany treats were made after scouring recipes for exactly what we had in the house (with our sub-zero temps running to the store was a no go) - we ended up with spiced ginger cookies.... and they weren't that bad!
